People say to me ‘Oh, I don’t use positive affirmations!’ Or ‘I don’t think positive affirmations work!’ Or ‘Do you think positive affirmations work?’
Ok, the problem is that this is so obvious and so simple that it is hard to get absorbed by our minds. If we are not predominantly present or in a near constant state of ‘no-mind,’ then we are already using positive affirmations.
That’s just about everybody then… So when someone says they don’t use positive affirmations, well they must be either a Zen master or unconscious. But even a Zen master uses positive affirmations as well! So, to say that you don’t use them is like stating to the world that you are unconscious to the fact that you are using positive affirmations.
Then, there’s the “I don’t think positive affirmations work in the crowd…” Well, these guys have all they have in their life because of the positive affirmations they have running in their minds.
Positive affirmations are just like adverts, they are advertising to you. You can do this consciously as I do, or you can do it unconsciously like virtually everyone on the planet does. And if you think positive affirmations don’t work, then consider if you think advertising works or not… So to say positive affirmations don’t work is basically saying, I don’t think advertising works… somewhat unconscious there!
So then it is obvious they work and that we all use them. Positive affirmations are your constant stream of thoughts, they are adverts… So all you have to do is design the adverts you wish to have running in your mind.
My favorite positive affirmation is “I love my life.“I give it plenty of ‘airtime’.
What’s yours and do you give it enough air time now you know how important it is?
I cover the full power of positive affirmations in my book Using A Bug Free Mind. And in the book Creating A Bug Free Mind, I cover the process of removing all of the bad affirmations (adverts) you currently have running.
Go air a good advert to yourself!
